24's good for stand-alone on an SC-trim??

I am considering an SC-trim. I was just wondering if 24# injectors would be enough to support it standalone without the FMU?

Other mods would include a CObra Intake, 65mm TB, full exhaust, RR's, camshaft (unknown which right now) and GT-40P heads as well as all the other basic bolt on's that you can do.

I don't want to run an FMU what what size injectors should I use? I guess i could toss the FMU and 24's on EBay and make up the cash for some 36's or 42's?

Also, i need a larger MAF for the setup, where can i pick up some blow-through meters so i can run a BOV with the setup?

I'll go out on a limb and guess that you intend to get a custom tune regardless.

If that is correct, then 42s are the way to go. Driveability issues will be resolved at the time the custom tune is performed.

24s will not cut it and 36 lbers are about as high and you can go with just a calibrated meter without requiring a custom chip. I give you a 50/50 chance of running 36 lb injectors with a calibrated meter and no driveability issues. Your chances are better with a set of 30's but you must be mindful of how far you go in the boost. Of course... the 42s will give you room to grow if you running only a stock block and boost.

Ok 42's it is.

Now to the fuel pump. I have a Walbro 190lph pump brand new not installed yet. Will this be fine or should i sell it and purchase a 255 hi flow pump? WHat about the 190lph and an in-line pump?

Plans for the SC-trim are to eventually upgrade it somewhat with a larger pulley, BOV/BPV and power pipe. I just like it's reasonable entry level price.

Daggar you are right i would be getting a custom tune on it. I'm just trying to determine various "supporting mods" right now like fuel and a camshaft and other factors. I don't want to get too excessive with power levels but a number around 300-325HP to the wheels would satisfy me.

Not yet. I'm debating just running the E7's for now and saving the cash for a better head later down the line. I really would prefer either a TFS head of a set of AFR 165's over the P's....but cost is a factor.

I'm also debating going with the SC-trim vs buying a pair of AFR 165's + supporting mods right now. They would prob end up making roughly the same power, but I really prefer a supercharged setup

Have you looked at the tristate p heads? I think thats what I will get. They come with a 5 angle valve job, stainless 1.94/1.54's with under cut stems, so they should outflow the factory ones. They are brand new castings complete for $500, thats less than half of AFR's. That left over $800 wil pay for almost half your blower. Im shooting for 400 rwhp with 10 psi (next year, need paint bad this year:bang: )

I'd go with the power adder first.

The 42's and custom chip will both be useful when you get a new set of heads. It'll cost you about $100 to get it re-tuned once you own the chip. At 10 psi. you should right around the 300 RWHP mark. You will not make that kind of power with just a set of TFS heads over the top of your stock combo.

Yup, if i was to get my P's new that's who i'd get them from.

Too many damn decisions to make. It is fun though.

My car hasn't made an (new) appearance on the forums of SN in about 2 years. Trust me it will be worth the wait.

Ok just to clarify...

The 90mm lightning MAF is already calibrated for 42's? SO if i pop this on along with 42# injectors i don't need to make any other tuning changes?

The lightning MAF will bolt up fine correct?

Just want to know before i start gathering parts.

This should cover me for fuel right?
