Ok have a question or two.

How far of a stretch would this be?

Could I make 255whp with a fresh factory bottom end, stock E7 heads, a TMoss lower intake, an XE258HR comp cams that has a 1300-5300rpm powerband, 1.6 roller rockers, UD pulleys, BBK unequal headers, MAC o/r H and MAC catback?

If not how about a fresh stock bottom end with factory E7 heads, a Cobra/GT40 intake, 65mm Accufab TB, Comp Cams XE264HR cam that has a 1500-5500rpm powerband, 1.6 roller rockers, UD pulleys, BBK Longtubes, Dr. Gas o/r Xpipe and a MAC catback?

This is all through a T5. I would have a custom tune with both of these setups also.

Guess my weight (or HP) threads are not technical in nature.

not likely, heads combined with intake are what makes the combo...cam is important but but an item that is far more limited by the heads/intake than the heads/intake are limited by the cam selection..if that makes sense.
Your looking at a typical 230RWHP combination of parts.

Any of the aftermarket aluminum heads would get you there out of the box.I had both of those cams with my combo.I pulled out the 264 after a month and put in the 258.I don't think it caused any significant drop in high rpm HP but low end torque/driveability improved a lot with the 258 while still giving me more power over the stock cam.

Home porting heads, if done right, can really flow. There is a home porting kit you can get off ebay or summit, my buddy used it on his and got great results. It comes with instructions in a video. E7 are worth just a little more than the scrap iron they are made of, so you can get them cheap. Let a machine shop do a good valve job, 3 angle or more, and get some new springs. Iron is kind of hard to port, but if you have the time, you can get results. TMOSS does the lower too good for too little to pass that up. I also agree with a very mild cam. You'll crack at least 260. Be sure to have a larger TB and MAF. Free flowing exaust will also get you there nicley.
