I ordered a set of 265/50/15 street tires, car currently has no quads but I'm going to put them on in about a month. Does anyone know if these tires will clear? will they clear no matter which way I install the quads? or what? any help?

It's a 91 GT, wheels are weld draglites 5.5 backspacing. Getting tires put on tomorrow, next month will put the quads on. If need be I'll flip them if they rub, do you need to jack the rearend up or do it side by side to install the quads? any jacking up at all?

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, I was at a stop and dumped the clutch at like 3k. Spun straight thru 1st and into 2nd pretty good with a slight case of wheel hop, nothing bone shattering though. I could chirp 3rd, but the 4cyl T5 has been kicking good for a year now and I don't want to destroy it from powershifting too hard.

265/50/15s right here...no rubbing at all except for on the fender lip because of the crazy offset that my Welds have. On a more "stock" offset/backspaced rim (like 10 holes for example) they don't rub AT ALL.

(pay no attention to the headlight thing...it was a photoshop)

Here's WAY back in the day, on 10 holes, slammed to the ground and they still didn't rub:

IMO they're just about the perfect size for 15s.
