Has anyone done this? I found a set of Bullitt rims with 275/45/17 Sumitomos on them for sale near me. However, I am worried since 275 is a heck of a lot bigger than the stock 245 and seems like it would be too big for a 8" wide rim. Also, seems like the fronts would rub. Comments, positive or negative, from anyone who has done this would be a great help.

I think some people say they bulge out some on the 8 inch rim.

I had 275's on 17x8 TT2's on my old truck, the tires will fit but will bulge a bit, look awesome though. I'd think somethin that wide would rub up front. I wanted to put wider tires on my Stang, anyone know if they will rub up front?

wrong tire size. you want 275/40/17 for it to look right. If you want to do it right, get replica bullitt wheels that are 17x9 that are made for 275/40/17's.

I have 275/40/17 nitto's on the rear of my stang. When i bought the tires the sales rep at Steeda said thats the largest tire they would put on a 17x8 rim. So the answer is yes they are ok for that size rim. Since your tires are not drag radials they my bulge a little but it shouldnt be to bad.

If you have a tire and wheel question, call TireRack. They are conservative, but that sounds like what you want. In general, 275's will fit up front. They will not rub. I am not sure if they fit on the rims properly.

I have the deep dish black bullets: 17X9 in front with 255/45/17's and 17X10.5 in the back with 285/40/17's. The 10.5's will support upto 315's.
