its time for some new tires and i was thinking about going wider in the rear with 275's insted of 245's just cause i like the look. anybody done this? if so any notice in the bigger tires "slowing" you down even more....
I dont think they would slow you down, but actually give you better traction. The only problem is rotating if you ever did or could do it. Car will need to see the shop more often after the change.
I used to run 285/40s on the same rims you have, but they bulged out quite a bit 'cause the wheels are only 8" wide. But they still looked good from the back. If you are staying with those same wheels, 255/45s are perfect. Anything wider will bulge.
In your original post, you don't say what size rims you plan on installing the 275's. I have 275/35/18's all around on 18X9 rims... no problems, and I can rotate my tires when the time comes.
