Yes! A great big one.
But
My hood scoop is hiding rust holes in my hood. The two opposite corners have same rust hole by hood scoop bolt.
Been trying to hide them in the pictures. Poor rusty car.
I need a different hood but it will have to wait till the needed paint job moment rolls around after its legal and driving.

Thank you for that thought/offer would be really hard to ship.

My cowl is ruff inside too. Once deck lid is done its the next worst spot. Not sure how to deal with that.. That fiber glass hood with cowl top included is an option but would need fab just to get along with the wipers.

I know the cowl is a structural part of the car and holds the hood hinges.
I've imagined making the cowl top removable. On this '77 and on my '65.
Cut it off, make flanges, 1 inch square tubing support frame.
Removable with the fenders on, etc.
It could happen.........

I'v thought about that too. Would be nice to clean up and seal in the cowl. Mine is already half open now with the firewall cut anyway lol...

Waiting for brake parts, so thats not happening yet.
Waiting for butyl dam for rear window install, so also not happening yet.
Waiting for Front window to arrive, so not happening yet.

Next project ~ Sunroof
Old one leaks, both handle locks are broken, its scratched up, and its ever so slightly installed crooked.
and the worst part is the his and hers handles that hit against my head when I sit in the car.
It has spent most of the last 8 yrs with a rubber wading pool bottom on a bed sheet under the car cover to keep the rain out.

I've seen this sunroof on other Mustang iis. Can tell by interesting bolt head. Don't think its factory sunroof though. Just what was available at that time to all the budding bondo slingers who cut sunroof holes in the early 80s.

This one might be the same ole sunroof.

After much grey stuff in my head I found one and ordered it . 17x35 , Their Help line was useless.
Was worried about having to weld strips to get it to fit and the failing paint job around it.

Heres the boys taking the old one out. This working on the car is becoming a thing with them.
Were having fun doin it.
Love big mustang boxes in the mail!

...... .... ... It FITS! ... ... pretty decent, about 3/16 small both ways,
I take back the bad stuff I said about CRL, SFC, They are now super heroes in my book.
Feel like I'm getting off easy.

Edge was rusty so cleaned it up and Por15 it. It needs a real paint job.
I know I've used it a couple of times but never that happy with por15, but it will do for now.

We sealed it in and water tested it ( lots water spots ).
Two heights, one handle, no more my head against handle while driving, YES!
It was a driving deterrent 2 me, well that and the engine brakes ect., being junk
This is major for me and my big melon.

Feeling good, might need a frosty beverage to celebrate!

Brakes

Been buying collecting pieces and parts;

Used Clutch pedal
New Master +Booster
new rear slaves,
Front caliper rebuild kits,
Stainless hard and soft lines,

My plan looks like this

Some day this car will have a 5 speed, but still going automatic for now.
real hot rods have three pedals.
When I bought these I didn't realize that it was an auto brake pedal cut off.
There no returning it after all this time....so on to the install. Hope I can make this all work.
Didn't like the different heights either.

Some body post me a pic of the real brake pedal please.

Starting at the back. I did hardware kits, shoes, and rebuilds of slaves along time ago.
This time its getting slaves cylinders and brakelines .

We jacked it up and clipped some brake lines off and pressure washed everything inside and out.

Son said he learned about brakes in sophomore auto mechanics. two weeks ago.
So we tore right in.
There is a jackstand under it, you just can't see it.
I didn't like the rusting chrome gas cap so I spay bombed it semi gloss black while this was going on. see above.
Next time I get out the car paint I'll give her a real painting.

New parts feels good.

I see a spanner tube on the floor but rusty, did that slide over the clutch pedal bolt? same as one inside brake pedal pivot?
Not sure I have all the pieces.

Been eyeballing Craigslist for '93 T5wc, I think that is the one I want.

Those Inline Tube guys did a nice job on these lines so far.

New and old ones, just got to unfold em.

Turns out the Russel DOT approved stainless soft line has the same female 3/8 port on both sides instead of the 7/16 female port on the driverside that was stock to this car.

I found an adapter on line but don't want adapters so went to Napa and got a new fitting and swapped ends on that side of my new line.
Added a new vent hose too.

Got to use the Flair tool for the first time in a dozen years. Had to stretch the line bends a little bit to make it work.
So far so good. Hope to start on front sometime this week.

Wonder if there is still oil in this pumpkin, better check that.

I would say yes it looks the same size pad for both. and yes the spacer fits in there on both. I have both pedal set ups and I swapped the nicest parts from both to put it together as my car was originally an automatic.

As far as the pads on the pedals go, I'm 99% sure that they are indeed the same. I'm due for some replacements myself. I think the same pads were used for Fox cars as well, but I'm not 100% on that one. Someone put some kind of ricer pedal covers on the 87 GT I have, I've yet to crawl in and take them off. I REALLY hope they left the pads on them so I can compare, if not I'll just pull one from the Cobra and try it and see. If they're the same, replacements should be a breeze! I think some parts stores carry them in their Help section.....

I thought i had seen em some where before.

I could not get these lines out of distribution block. Its swedgeing was coming loose on its bracket. Finally had to put it in the vise and used deep 6 point socket on it.
Was afraid to heat it up might damage the valveing inside.

All cleaned up, now those mangled but loose lines are just keeping the crap out during wire brushing.
