2nd gear WOT

Hey, I have found that when accelerating WOT, the RPM stays at 4k for a second then moves to the 5500 shift point. This is the only gear that does this--all others shift smoothly. Note--this is only at WOT, during 3/4 throttle, it accelerates as the others. Any thoughts?

Tech specs:

Rebuilt 4R70W
stock rear gear
Magnaflow full exhaust
K&N filter
Tornado Air

when ya had your trans rebuilt, did ya get a new 'verta?

Yeah cause that was the reason for the rebuild. I blew the old TC to bits

maybe your just spinning your tires w/o even knowing, and then it's grabbing at 5500?

Or maybe you have the wrong tranny fluid in the tranny.

Cool thanks, yeah I got her rebuilt about 8000 miles ago and have never beat on her after the rebuild. I have only let her loose a few times recently.
