???3.73 gears or 4.10 gears, stock 96 gt 5speed ????

what are the best gears for this stang. car is stock, putting on magnaflow x pipe, borla cat-back , jet chip. volant cai. plus, how much am i looking at to get this work done. any help would be great. thanks

I have the same year car and I went with the 4.10's. Most will tell you to get these unless you are planning to supercharge or turbocharge in the future. If you have an aftermarket catback, look for the drone to be pretty signifiacant on the hwy. I have a O/R h-pipe with the stock catback and it is on the edge of being too loud but I can deal with it. I paid 200 to have the gears installed. Shop around for the gears. You can probably find them for around 150.

with 4.10's you'll at least get the feeling of haveing more hp/tq...but i'd say before you do gears, save up and do a PI headswap

Go with 4.10's N/A or if your planning to go with a power adder if your keeping the stock heads. You can get around 115-125 mph with that stock limiter in 4th.
