This is a continuation of my 302 roller vs 289 post. Well, I decided to go w/ all the advice and will most likely get a Roller block. :nice:
What do you guys think of this 306 short block?

here's the link

Anyone have any experience with buying from prime-performance off of e-bay? I think it sounds like a pretty good deal. $889.95 w/free shipping, what do you guys think?

Hmmm, the free shipping is nice, but that sounds very similar to another engine remanufacturer here in Dallas, and the prices are waaay better than the ebay price.

This isn't including shipping of course, but they list a 5.0 short block for $305. The core charge is $135, so it'd be $440 with no core trade in. Of course, you get what you pay for. These are budget engines, built in mass, not lovingly prepared by the local machine shop. :D
