Should i be able to put at least 320 rwhp to the ground with this setup? (i know this is another thread for somebody else but im thinking this is more reasonable)

302 bored out, forged pistons, 1.7 roller rockers, 24lb injectors,gt 40 heads, eddlebrock lower intake, typhoon upper, 70mm bbk throttle body, 80 mm maf, cervini ram air, ceramic coated shorty headers, E303 Cam...i think thats everything

not very likely...you'd be lucky to see 290's with an excellent tune. Numbers you want will require a more aggressive cam, better head selection (possibly some grinder work, and again an Excellent tune. Current parts on avg will put out in the 270's.

Yup Dman is right on...with those parts you will NOT see 320 at the wheels. You will most likely see numbers in the 260's. Your setup is similar to mine...except i have a little work in the heads, long tubes, and tweecer tuned and I expect to see about 275-285 rwhp. Sorry bro

Not trying to hijack your thread but I wanted to mention I finally make 310rwhp!!!!

My setup is in the signature. I think I could have done better with a little more fuel in the setup, the baby 24 lb'ers are killing me and they max out fully @ 6000rpm. But they will stay the same until spring when the turbo comes
How do you know the injectors are maxed?Unless they are using a SNeec there is no way to tell..I run 24's( 25's by ford standards) and they are only at 85% duty cycle.

To the original poster with shorties and a e cam i dont see it.Im with the others 250~270rwhp range..

You are more than fine with 24's, I make a little more HP than that with 24's at 40psi...not nearly at max duty cycle. BUT with your TFS kit you're really doing well IMO.

theres a Chance that with the mods listed you could see 320h/p But you need to add a Supercharger and or No2 But after then it send you above 320h/p... your almost there only $2500 more to go.. or 800 the cheap way, don't give up..

What's with all you guys saying you can go this high on 24s? Have you actually done it? I have @ 55psi of fuel pressure to get the damn thing to keep from going so lean it was popping back through the intake. I know what people say, but I just haven't seen anyone actually do it. You say you make more, but I'm wondering if you're still running a stock computer or if you've tuned it or have an FMU. A few others with similar combos to me had the same problems I did. '03 Cobras make 360 at the wheels, and what size injectors do they run?

Chris

According to the air fuel ratio I go really lean @ around 6k. I'm not sure what the dyno uses but they can see my duty cycle is at it's limit. If I get a chance I will show you guys the graphs.

UPDATE: Sorry I tried to downsize them a little but you still need to read 'em :nice:

Fuel pump size?

Just keep in mind longtubes vs. shorties, there will be a small difference. I have only seen a few 'freak' incidents occur. White99Gt is one. I have seen cars loose power with a swap from shorties to longtubes as well.

85_SS - The engine doesn't have accessories or drivetrain loss, of course it is going to dyno higher:D Carb engines also peak higher on the dyno.

For myself...255 pump and 24's. With my setup I'm only using 41 PSI and A/F is perfect at 12.8-13 on my 94octane program with aprox 34 degrees total (12 initial) on the SCT tune. Combo is 306 with small valve eddy rpm heads with some exhaust side work, combined with the XE270HR-12 cam (though using a smaller rocker than recomended) and typhoon...oh and should add every available bolton I could find :). Larger version if hard to see is in my sig...

Im doing it RIGHT now..Stock fuel pressure regulator at that..With a 255lph high pressure pump(plan on a power adder later).
Mine is tuned ,screw trying to "fool" a stock computer like most do with "matched" mafs.Got a real maf with a tune beats a matched setup anyday..

Also BOOSTED fuel is WAY different than n/a fuel..THere is no compairson between the two requirements.

DMAN302-we have close to the same combo:nice:
