Ok the finally numbers are in: 325HP and 360TQ.

This is with a 70mm TB, 42LBS injectors, Pro Products intake, underdrive pulleys and stock block. oh did I mention the T70 hairdryer?

in 1999, Ford came out with Performance Improved heads or PI heads. previous 2V 4.6L heads are refered to as Non-PI.

Question for you, is it true that you can just reverse mount the stock headers and mount a turbo on them or did you have to buy the ebay headers??

The headers will bolt up backwards, as long as you have clearance. The heads are the same for both sides.

After seeing so many people do it here lately, it has really got me considering doing a custom turbo setup after I build my motor.

Turbo is definately a sexy alternative ...... a little unique and great torque.
I've wrestled with the same decision on my rebuild.
What to do .... what to do????

Yeah i'm now seriously considering doing a custom turbo setup like that too...Only thing is the little parts here and there would start to add up and I don't know if I have all the necessary tools to do it. That'll be something to ponder over the winter.

Yea, they do add up his was a total of 4 grand including tune and testing.. Mine is about 2 grand with twins and i still have to get a tune and my tranny reworked.. So I figure about 1500 more and I'm done. Til I do the H/C/I . Once I get 450 to the wheels I'm done!!

It should be more even with the npi heads turbos are more efficent. 10 psi in a centrifuge SC npi 4.6 will net almost that much hp.
