I just stumbled upon this online performance parts place http://www.pricemotorsport.com/ and they make adapters for a number of different engines that allow you to use various intakes with various blocks and various heads.

I looked at there listing for adapters for my application so I could use a 302 intake on my 351w. They are like 250 so it's a moot point for me, but for someone who's already got a high flow 302 intake and wants to upgrade to the 5.7L then you could get a set of these things and reuse that 302 intake.

Pretty cool.

$159 vs. $270

i personally wouldnt use them. seems like there might be room for aore leaks and such. i would just buy an intake made for the 351 swap professional products makes one for $159 and its pretty much the same as a edelbrcok performer rpm series base. and if you are building a 351 obviously you want more power and once again this is just my opinion an intake designed for the needs of a 302 is going to resrict the 351. but im not sure what kind of "high flow" 302 intake you have.

Good Find,
thanks for posting...

The 302 lower is supposedly the choking point.

There is a nother company that has an adapter for the 351w lower and 302HO upper.
It is BCBronco.com I believe.

they do

yea i looked at them also and the only problem i see with it is its made to fit STOCK truck lowers to STOCK 5.0 uppers so if you want to upgrade the lower or the upper the adapter isnt going to work anymore unless you have a machine shop cut out the ports to match the ports on the new intakes. they cut them out for factory applications.and i am still sticking with my previous statement that any factory piece is gonna be restrictive. especially something designed for a 302 thats trying to support the needs of a 351.

All of these are intake manifolds that I lusted for, but could never get for my turd 351w in the late 70's,..If there would've been a spacer kit back in the day,...

because,...at one time, long, long ago when carburetors were still the fuel metering device of choice,..you' couldn't get jack for a 351w.

Ask me how I know this?
glad i dont have that issue! hell i wish they made some of the 351 intakes for the 8.2 decks so we could do a bigger intake on the race car lol
