If you want to stay fuel injected, any ford truck fuel injected dizzy will work. If not, get a duraspark III type if you are going carbed. You will need the right type of drive gear to match your cam type (roller or flat).

He's got a 94 351w roller block. But he's not sure if he is going carb or injections.

BTW for your info only certain dizzy's work with the vic jr intake. So it is worth while if you plane on ever running that intake to buy something that will. This is the trouble I'm running into now.

The edelbrock guys recommend having the 8478 part numbered dizzy from MSD. I have this 8485 part numbered dizzy it is wider then the recommended dizzy by a little over a half inch. Msd says to use PN 85805 dizzy for a 351w running a vic jr. It is 7/16 of an inch taller then the current dizzy I have. I'm worried that I will end up having to buy a new msd dizzy if I want to run a vic jr. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and go see if mine works.

yea of course they do because you have to run a msd digital box with it and its a mechanical advance dizzy. the one i listed above is a vacuum advanced dizzy. if you already have a msd box then it is the better one.

Sorry I have PN 8584. I didn't think I was dyslexic but maybe I am. It is the basically the same as the one MSD lists as the one you need to run with the Vic Jr but my dizzy is 7/16 shorter then the one they say you need to run. I wonder if anyone has run this dizzy with the vic jr.

7/16 from the collar the the shaft end or to the top of the dizzy? if its shorter to the shaft end it might not make it to the pump from the mounting surface of the victor jr!! that might be why they say you have to run it. didnt think about that. in that case im screwed to because i am going to want to swap to a victor EFI spider one day. damn now i got to get a new dizzy too.

EDIT: from the looks of it the EFI 351 swap dizzy will not work with a victor EFI intake. i will call tommorrow and get exact dimensions.

i will check it out in the A.M. but obviously they are making one for a TFI/EFI application. i see people running the spider and EFI all the time. they re on 302's though but that shouldnt make a difference in base hieght. oh well i will give them a call and let you know.
