3650 3rd gear grind, I have read the sticky

What can I do to fix it? The sticky just talks about it and the TSB on it doesnt say it was a recall and the car is a 2001 Bullitt and way way outta warr. What are my options and the cost of each? It grinds 3rd only under hard throttle. Thanks guys!:SNSign:

What kind of tranny fluid are you running? Lot's of guys on here say that Royal Purple Syncromesh takes car of slight grinding.

Mine still grinds once in a while when it's real cold out and I've already had the TSB done to mine. I'm going to be changing my fluid to RP when I go on my 2 weeks vacation next month.

Try switching to RP. Otherwise I'd say you're screwed.

Ive just accepted that it will never be perfect. Ive had the fix and it still does it when cold in 2nd and 3rd just not nearly as bad. Ive had good luck with Dextron III fluid.

All I meant was is you'll be rebuilding it or replacing it if switching to RP doesn't help.

i have the same problem... but, i got a damn good deal on a brand new TKO 600 for only 1,720 from FRPP. let me know if you want the distributor's info.
