I am looking to replace my 00GT vert with a 02GT vert. The 02GT will be getting longtubes and I have read in the past that some people of pulled the tranny with the MAC longtubes and not loosened any header bolts. For those that have pulled a 3650 tranny without touching the MAC headers, how did you do it.

I am also posting another thread about SLP headers.

Thanks, and yes I tried searching.

i have done it with mine and i have mac lts with a t45,essentially the same trans.its deff not an easy task let me tell you and the higher you get the car off the ground the better.pretty much use a lift if you can and grab a few friends to help because your gunna be holding that thing up and manuevering it all over.im going to be doing it again next saturday.if i remember correct your going to first have to drain all the fluid otherwise it will get everywhere.next unbolt everything as usual and then grab some ppl.pretty much pull the trans back off the splines of the clutch and as your doing this also rotate the case around the shaft so that the starter kickout is facing down.then your gunna have to almost take the trans out straight up and down from there.its been a while since i have done it so i dont remember in detail but plan on hanging onto it for a while and scratching them headers up.good luck with it and pretty much if you think about it and look long enough you will see what you need to do to get it out.a trans jack would also be usefull for something to set it up against while your pondering what to do next haha.good luck.
