Anyone running 4.30's with a supercharger? I'm currently running high 12's with a 26" tall tire and almost running out of gear in the 1/4. I was wondering if i could pull off mid 11's with a 28" tall tire and 4.30 gears when i get a blower installed or will i have to reduce to a 4.10 or mabye even 3.73's?

Thanks

You never run out of gear!

Just out of rpm or the tires are to small

IMO,the 28" with the 4.30 will work better than switching gears.More traction, just make sure you got tire clearance.

i shift around 5800-5900, my fenders are rolled in my fox, i figure 28" will rub with the weight transfer, my street tires work out to 27" tall and on the street they rub. they dont rub majorly but you can tell where it is a little bit on the outer edge of the tires

Bump your shift point up by 200rpm,the blower will tend to move your power band up a little anyhow.

As for tires, well, depending on your wheels bs,the inside will be the problem.

Our 28x12.5/15' ET Street's fit nicly inside our wells, but we had to clearance the inside. And our wheel are made for fox's (they are 9.25" wide and have a 6" bs).

i was thinking of a 28/10.5/15 hoosier or et street would do fine?

its just the running out of gear issue, haha, does anyone know what the mph would be in 4th gear at 6000rpm would be with a 28" tire?

With a stick,4.30's,and a 28" tall tire....its around 133mph,a auto loses a litte cause of converter slippage,so probably around 128 for auto. And depending on tire expansion,it will be higher.

Just drop it to 3.73s... Then when you add even more power, you won't need as much gear...

You will need quite a rev extender with 4.30's. 3.55's with your short tire will be fine or a 3.73 will work good too. I run 3.55's and I think I would hit the limiter right at the finish with the 3.73's. The blower changes everything.

i would keep the 4.30s and try out the bigger tire, thats way easier and cheaper then swapping gears. with a supercharer you gonna have a sweet case of whiplash on the street if you dont already
