Ok I know this question isnt about a mustang but it is about a 4.6 explorer engine. I was looking at getting an explorer for the winter and the one I looked at was making a noise under acceleration. It wouldnt do it once you were at speed and not accelerating anymore. The dealer said that it sounds like an idler pulley or tensioner pulley? They dont know definetly until monday when they can look at it. They are going to fix it whatever it is but my question is does this sound like what it might be or does it sound like it might be something more serious? If it is the pulley is this something that can cause something else to go in the near future? I know it isnt a mustang but I know a lot of you guys here are ford techs and was looking for some insight before I buy the car or not. Thanks in advance.
