Pretty much what title says. I am wondering what a 4 inch cowl looks like on a coupe. Thinking of purchasing one for mine. Pics would be great.

I was going with a 2.5 inch cowl but later i plan on a 351 with a victor jr intake so i probably will need the extra clearance. I see no since buying 2 hoods.

Thanks for any info.

This isn't a tech question.

Unless you need a 4" it's too big IMO. 3" max

I have a Harwood 4 " Cowl hood on mine, mines a lx hatch but it looks amazing. Loco, 4 " is just perfect imo. 3 " too small.

Yeah, my G/F has trouble seeing over the Cowl on her side. Other than that.. it's a great hood, I would go with Harwood , best hoods made imo.

Completely rediculous unless you have some huge motor in there necessitating that big of a hood.

That would be great... if it were covering a big ole cog driven, pneumatic engaged, intake bypassed roots blower.

And you guys cant understand why ricers get such big wings? This is the equivilent, do you really need 4 inches of extra hood space? Looks comical IMO.

I tried, forever to like my 4 inch cowl hood (may still be in my avatar) I didn't "need" it though. My friends called me a ricer because of that, and it just looked really ridiculous. Don't go 4 inch unless you need it. Trust me, all your friends and family will let you know. I asked my father, who's not into stangs what he thought and he said, "well, it's kind of big" lol, he was trying not to hurt my feelings. I sold that thing after that and put the stocker back on, although i've been considering a 2.5 inch hood.

This is a bit more tasteful, but I still wouldn't get a hood that big, looks out of place on a street car.
