Ok, I finally got my engine in and all hooked up but i can't get the damn thing started. I have the dizzy in the right way and i loaded the L-maf tune. I changed the injector slope in the tweecer for the 42'lb injectors. Still no go and it seems like the injectors arn't firing.

What next.

Ill omit the TwEECer part Brandon - we all know I dont know snot about those.

But injectors get constant 12 volts, and the puter supplies pulsed ground to energize the injectors. Did you use a noid light to be sure you dont have pulsing? Plugs dry?

The PIP supplies the base injector timing signal as well as base spark timing. If you have spark, that suggests the PIP is ok, and that the issue is elsewhere.

I am sure you know this, but that is what came to mind. If you had fox harnesses, I could go into a lot more detail (I am not that conversant with SN wiring paths). Tom has new schematics on S+2B's site, if that helps (they are 94-95 specific).

Good luck.

I'm with JT!

Check the obvious stuff first as he talked about.

I will say that I've seen some talk about different Lightning mafs and different curves on the Tweecer site or EECTuning site as it is now called.

My intent here is one of letting you know some research on your part might be helpful and I don't have any specific details or info other than I've seen those threads.

Keep us posted on how things go!

ok, I first tried turning the dizzy 180 no luck. now i installed the noid light and it puilses. You sad thats bad?

It's the stock wiring and i know there is spark becuase it got me. My fp is at 40.

Damn, now i'm out of ideas.

If the plugs are wet then we know the holes are gettin gas.

While you got the plug out of the #1 hole turn it over until you feel the push of air out of the plug hole. Then go a little farther until the hb shows tdc. At that point the rotor should point at the #1 spot on the cap.

If you got that kind of thing then the dizzy is in the right position.

If not, just make it so!

Well, i was checking for tdc with the air thing and i realised thet there is no air coming out lol. I overtightened my rockers so there is no seal. I dont have anymore time tonight to mess with them becuase i have ti study for a test tomorrow.

That will do it. I overtightened my rockers and my stang ran like piss until I redid them. Let us know how it turns out after you redo them. Good luck :nice:

My lifters were bled down when i did it and i still did the 1/2 turn. well tomorrow night it's getting running.

:nice: I just disconnected my coil and cranked until I had oil pressure then I set all mine (this was the second time, lol).

For future searchers, a pulsing noid light is good. A noid light is a quick-pulse test light. If it did not flash, that would suggest you were missing 12 volts or ground to the injectors. But with flashing, you are good to go!

Glad to hear you got it figured out. :nice:

That sucks, but it sounds like you found your problem. Good luck!

My friend with the 427 has the same intake and cam that you have, and he said his wouldn't start with the stock computer. One, you have a tweecer so that shouldn't be a problem, and Two, I don't know how much I would trust his advice.
