My II has been the epitome of this since at least 2001. Sure, it runs and drives, but I never did get the interior finished. Add on 2 other car projects, house projects a-plenty, and other life obstacles and the end result is a mountain of projects that end up sitting until the mythical "one day" finally arrives....
I think @Noobz347 linked the other thread as a place to share your shop project as we all seem to get in deep with that stuff too. I mean getting a shop built was my whole goal for a long time! That's basically where the rabbit hole led that thread....
Almost done my new shop. should be passed inspection by April 2026 and then I can build out the Cabinets and work benches etc.
The car I really really want to get back on is the 2 but as I mentioned earlier I have to finish the truck first. I really have my work cut out for me. I am not buying anymore projects (do you believe me? ) so I will have to power through. I have had 9 months of withdrawal as all of my tools and shop reside in a sea-can in my driveway patiently awaiting regurgitating its contents into my new shop.
In the mean time I have watched all the YouTube hero's shows now so I have nothing left to watch. pics of shop coming soon. It's not huge..24x36.. but a good size and high enough for a car lift with 14' ceilings
Nice! Winter time causes withdrawals without having to wait to unpack to get down to business. At least it does for me. It's supposed to be around 80 here tomorrow, I might try to get my car out and stretch it's legs for the first time in about 2 years. Time will tell, I still have a lot of other stuff that needs my attention that take precedence.... Good thing we're patient.
