I think it is hilarious how everyone bags on automatics but there are threads every day about issues with clutch, TOB, clutch cable, adjuster, 2-3 gear grind, chatter, vibration, grind, etc, etc, etc.

Face it gentlemen, the 4R70W is way better than the 3650

Meh, those threads just prove that auto fluid gets hot and the tail shaft is known to leak slightly

So that's different than a clutch cable out of adjustment (easy fix) or a squeaky TOB (another easy fix)?

My auto crapped on me. If it didn't I would've kept it. Oh well, I can't complain.

I'm at 160K+ on my T45...just a TOB replaced.

I don't see the point of the thread. I brought up problems people have had with the autos just like people have had problems with anything mechanical under the sun.

The point is...this thread is worthless. Like taking Viagra on a desert island.

only problems i've seen you post were about people throwing in junky trans-go kits and other aftermkt stuff, and one kid in a V6 who shifted the hell out of his handle so it didn't work right

Although I've never had a problem with my T56 I would much rather have a built 4R70W when I'm at the drag strip or just driving around town & in traffic. I must admit when I'm burning up the twisties out in the back 40 the T56 is a lot of fun to row through the gears... each transmission (manual vs auto) has it's pro's & con's I guess, depends on what you're primarily doing with the car.
