Guys, I found online where Carcraft has taken a stock 302 roller cam and replaced the heads with AFR Heads. exhaust mods and converted it to a carb. If I wanted to keep fuel injection, what would I need to do since an 87 doesn't have a MAF? Could a chip be burned so I wouldn't have to go to MAF conversion? I want a streetable poweful mustang on a buget.

I am sure someone else will chime in here, but there are alot of folks running SD with aftermarket H/C/I. Do a forum search, I am sure you will find a lot of great reading material on this subject.

I like SD personaly, some even beleive that SD computers are more aggressive. The main reason people do a mass air conversion is because they want to get radical cam and head setups that SD setups just can handle very well.

the only thing you have to worry about with speed density is the cam, you can change everything else and still be fine. There is a list available if you search for it, that tells which cams are "Speed Density Safe" you can theoretically run the E-cam as well and not have a problem, some of them you may have to bump up your idle so that the car stays running, but you can still use them.

I just upgraded to mass myself, but i was running everything else in my sig with SD. I am unsure of what my cam is but it is not a stock cam. I only changed over because my car ran wayyyyy to rich the way it was.

Hope that helps you
