So can you actually buy this thing yet? And which throttle body did they use? A 75mm trick flow?

Right now the ship date is 5/11 on Summit.com but it keeps being pushed back. On that test they supposedly used a 70MM TB, not sure what brand. I'm interested to see the results on my car with the stock 65MM TB. I will be upgrading to a 70MM or 75MM sometime but I want this test to be for the intake ONLY with no other modifications. We'll see if I see that plateau that they found on those numbers I am anxious to see if my exhaust modifications help counter that loss in the 3400-4300rpm range.

the article clearly says "no dyno tune or any tuning needed".. so if in deed its true, which im sure it is, thats a plus

Very true...which may mean tuning would help out the numbers as well.

Hell yea. Imagine that manifold combined with a good upper plenum, 75mm TB, JLT Intake, and a free flowing exhaust. That would be freakin sweet and a cam on top of that would mean the car would breathe EXTREMELY WELL. Those numbers from an intake alone on a otherwise stock GT are very nice and it wasnt like some of the other intakes which were either tested on heavily modded N/A or S/C applications.

It includes a lower and upper portion. You don't need a seperate plenum and it's supposed to be an "all inclusive" kit.

No one has posted the average numbers. More importent than any peak number changes is the average power available over the usable rpm range.

In the graph you can see that the horsepower and the torque curves are much smoother. That seems to indicate to me a high average of both hp and torque is available with this intake.

I would like to see this intake bolted to a 4.6 with ported heads and a pair of cams. Or even better a big bore (3.70) 5.0 modular.

Well...Summit is showing the ship date as 5/6 now and it was as late as 5/11 on Friday. On TrickFlows website, they also changed the star from "Coming Soon" to "Now Available" over the weekend. I think I'll be putting in my order this week!

Whats the price going for? Id love to get one but i don't think a 700+ price tag is justified

Why not? If it makes comparable numbers to the Bullitt and is a complete kit, I think they'll sell a bunch.

Well the average numbers depend on your gears and tranny - they determine the rpm range you'll use when you're at WOT - see where your revs fall to after a WOT shift.

This intake really starts to shine afer ~4.5k so cars with steeper gearing will benefit more.

Considering everything you get this is a bargain.

Actually looks like Summit are selling the upper and lower seperately making it 800 bucks.

I just pre-ordered mine this past weekend. I won't have dyno numbers anytime soon though, as I'm collecting parts for a intake and cams swap

Talked to Trick Flow today and they told me that the intakes are slowly leaving the warehouse and filling pre-orders first, etc. So its first come, first served. I'm going to order mine tonight and wait till my number is called I guess I will have dyno numbers before and after within the month (I'm hoping). :SNSign:
