ok i have a list of questions. hopefully i can get some of them cleared up so i can get started on this project. i was only planning on swapping the fronts.
right now im running the svo five lug brake set up that came on the car.
1. Will the rear still work? from what ive heard i only need to swap the fronts over to sn95?
2. Do i need a different proportioning valve? master cylinder?
3. Can i still run my same struts? and c/c plates?
what parts do i need? so far i have this for my shopping list.
spindles
hubs
rotors
calipers and lines
dust shields
banjo bolts
adapter for passenger side.....part #?
am i missing anything?
im wanting to run 17x9 fr500's and 275/40/17 all around, will this work or do i need to rethink my rim size?

that rearend will work, but it wont be ideal, iirc its about 1 3/4 of an inch longer than a normal fox rearend, which will probably put the rims you want into the fender. with a 275 tire youll probably want a regular fox-width rear.

struts and cc plates will be reusable, the svo/saleen front end uses the same stuff as a regular fox (maybe firmer, but it still mounts the same).

for the front end on mine, i bought a cobra brake kit from buyfordracing.com, had calipers, rotors, correct banjo bolt, and braided stainless lines. only thing extra to get there was caliper bolts, and the passenger side fitting (weatherhead 7828 iirc).

as far as wheels/tires go, i wouldnt go any bigger than a 255/45 on the front, ive got 245/45 on my 17x9's and it rubs the front of the fender pretty good sometimes. a 275 rear would work well though, just watch for the quad shocks as they may need to be flipped or removed.

Just because you are buying aftermarket control arms does not mean you can do away with your quads!.

exactly. axle windup is a common prob on the foxes. and bbk isnt known for their products being the best. you still might have wheel hop with the new ca's. i wish i had kept mine on for this reason. only company that offers wheel hop eliminating lca's due to axle windup that can almost def get rid of the wheel hop is maximum motorsports. that is unless your setting up to drag. then a good set of traction bars will help better and eliminate the quads

Most of your questions were covered, but to sum it up I'll give my 2 cents.

1) Since your rear axles are 1.25" longer than a Fox axle, the 17x9 wheels will not fit unless you get a custom backspacing similar to the Saleen wheels or the 05+ wheels. What you can do is: A) change to SN95 rear brakes and use the www.northracecars.com brackets and Fox length 5 lug axles or B) modify your rear brakes to move the calipers in 1.25" and use the same Fox length 5 lug axles. 2) If you keep the same rear disc, you should be fine with the stock MC and PV. An adjustable PV might be good insurance. If you change to SN95 rear disc, I would for sure get an adjustable PV and I would try out the stock MC before buying a SN95 one and make it fit. A SN95 booster might be needed too, but again I'd just wait and see.

3) as was said, the struts & cc plates are fine.

for the parts list, you also need the ball joint spacers (hardened washers) or SN95 balljoints. Also, you can get the stainless steel lines with the correct hose ends and avoid using the adapter if you want to upgrade. Maximum Motrosports has the SN95 hoses with Fox chassis ends and they include new banjo bolts specific to your calipers.

As for tires, on the front I'd run 255/40/17s as they are a bit wider than 245s and a bit shorter in height and would look good on 17x9 wheels. For the rears a 275 will work. And keep the quads if you can by just flipping them with the shaft pointing to the rear. I put MM LCAs and new poly bushing chassis side UCA on my car and ditched the quads (they were leaking) and my car hops pretty badly now. It never has in the past. Worth it if you can make them fit.

ok, my quads are still stock so they probably need to be replaced. i was thinking about running a 17x8 wheel instead. will a 17x8 fit with the axles and brakes im running the in the rear? what backspacing would i need? sn95? because if i can keep my rear brakes the way they are and run a 17x8 wheel with a 275/40/17 or some tire around that size that would pretty much be what im looking for. also will i feel a difference in braking power between the svo set up and sn95 set up?

A 17x8 SN95 Ford wheel will fit, but it does stick out more than the Saleen specific wheels do. I've seen a couple of Saleens with Bullitt wheels on them and IMO the wheels stick out a hair too much. They look good, but if the wheels were tucked in a bit more they would look better IMO.

Here is a pic of a friend's former car. He had the complete SVO system on it also with 17x8 98 Cobra wheels. Can't really see the wheels vs the fender lip, but the tire edges were basically even with the fender lip edge.

As for tires, I think he was running 245s. You would need to certainly roll the fenders in the rear and even then with a wider tire you could expect some rubbing especially if lowered.

Oh, and on the braking, if you are just going with 94-98 GT brakes, there would be minimal difference in braking, but with the 13" Cobra brakes or even the 99-04 PBR brakes you should expect some improvement.

If you get some 05-07 Mustang spec wheels you should be able to run them in the rear with 275s and rolling the fender. Or get aftermarket wheels for a SVO. The 05-07 are very similar to the SVO and Fox Saleen wheels in backspacing. I don't think the 94-04 wheels would work that well.

As for rolling the fenders, some guys have rolled their fenders with a baseball bat wedged against the tire, thereby pushing the fender lip up instead of horizontal, but that tends to crack the paint and would cause it to rust. Others have scored the paint with a razor and then rolled them, and painted the score line to seal it. The best way is to find someone with the fender rolling tool and have them done professionally. Probably a local custom tire and rim shop would be able to do it.

They are big, so I didn't post them directly on here

As for the fronts, MM&FF put them on the SVO rotors and of course they couldn't use the center caps. Also you can use the cheaper 96-04 spindles since they push the wheels out a bit further and they will look more in proportion to the rears that way. Enlarge the pics to full size and you can see how the fronts fit in the wheel well, a little tucked in.

275's wont fit on anything lower than a 9" i thought without there being sidewall probs i though. i have the 17x9's on mine and i got a slight rub on bad bumps, and this is with stock springs. if you got a stiffer spring i would imagine you would be fine. i can show you pics of mine with the sn95 axles
