I dont know what year the RSX type S i raced was but at the time i raced him I had a broken trans that would stay in second and i still beat him....I guess he just really sucked at driving....This was before I had most of my mods even done to my car and I still dont think it is fast now...my car is a boat.

they are not as slow as most american muscle owners believe them to be

my bro had an 06 RSX type S....and it was nearly dead even with stock GT's. v-tech feels incredible. i drove his rsx for a few whole days and can tell it would put up a very good fight against a stock GT.

+10000

I used to own a '98 Prelude.. Those have the same motor as the RSX if i'm not mistaken and when the V-tec kicked in, it felt incredible. Up top that thing would really shine and that was just a '98. Now with the new RSX's, those things will GO.

I love my Mustang and all.. but man, you guys gotta give these other cars credit.. Honda/Acura (same company) is making some kickass cars and you guys are just too afraid to admit it. Quality-wise and how long the car will last, the Hondas will beat us everytime.. Those things never die! :hail2:

That is so not true!!! my cousin has gone through 3 hondas in the past 3years! those things suck! man alot of you guys that think todays 4cyl cars are comparing to our v8s are smoking some good *****! its time you sold your mustangs to buy a civic or rsx...

The '06 RSX Type S (201HP/140TQ & weighs only 2840 lbs) doesn't really come alive until 7800 RPM's! If this race was from a roll which appears to be the case, and the GT drive was short shifting his GT which again appears to be the case, I can see this scenario happening very easily.

Car & Driver says....

Zero to 60 mph: 6.2 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 16.6 sec
Street start, 5-60 mph: 6.9 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 14.9 sec @ 95 mph
Top speed (drag limited): 136 mph

This was on a closed course, right?
