I am having real difficulty finding a radiator fan for my configuration. Brief recap on my setup - '95 GT, '93 5.0l block, Holley alluminum heads, w/ a Vortech V1 for the '93, Fluidyne, Texas heat, etc.... I have had to rearrange some things. I am having clearance issues between the Crank Pulley and Radiator fan. I tried to install a SPAL Dual 11" fans, but they are about 1" too wide. I know these would keep it cool. I am considering going w/ a Flex-A-Lite dual 12" slim setup because they are thinner and would fit. However, I have been hearing that they will not keep it cool. I have considered Spal's new 16" Extreme performance, but I will have to offset it. Will this be a problem. I may be able to build a shroud for it. I am really not sure what to do at the moment.

I am wondering what is out there that flows more than those Spals that also is so nicely thin.

Before I knew about your clearance issues, I would have suggested a Viper fan.

Hmmmmmm, no answers from me.

Good luck.

I thought about using a big pusher, but I have gotten negative feedback on that as well. We are keeping the a/c, so the condenser is in front of the radiator and a pusher would probably have a tough time by itself.

any luck with this? i am in the same boat!!

I cannot get the stock fan to fit with my dart iron eagle block, fluidyne radiator, with my charger pulley... It seems that the problem is that the fluidyne is much deeper thatn the stock radiator. I figured someone had to make a direct replacement slim fan but it is proving to be impossible to find anything that bolts right in. I figured it would be a common problem...

the stock fan should clear if you remove the round metal plate (3 bolts) that's on the back of the fan motor.

Have you done this? I am gonna try this and see if i can get it to fit... Def don't want to go to 6 rib though. I have bought the fluidyne now so it would be a waste to just go back to the stock radiator.

If you guys want more info about the Viper fan, I would get ahold of Ponyboy19. Here is his thread about his install. He probably knows dimensions really well too.

Good luck.
