Tim has made 600RWHP with the stock heads, but using his cams. Ofcourse it had a built block. (Im pretty sure it was an S trim....but i could be wrong)

almost every 2V uses "stock" heads. what i was referring to is that he needs ported heads. Tim's 600rwhp S trim car had ported heads.

The S(Q)-Trim will move enough volume through the stock heads with the stock cams to meed the air demands needed for 500rwhp. You just gotta spin em hard and keep the air charge cool.

can you show me 1? all the 500+rwhp S trim 2V 4.6L's i've seen have at least blower cams.

for that fmic kit, did you have to reclock your vortech to blow downwards or will you try to squeeze the pipe around it?

Which injectors are you planning on using? 42's are going to be pushing it at that HP level. Seen it done, before, but...

Here's my proven formula

MMR 900 Shortblock
V1 S-Trim
Houston Performance 292s Cams
Stock Heads/Valve springs/ Intake
Professional Products 75mm TB/plenum
Full Mac Exhaust LT's, H-Pipe, Catback
AFM Powerpipe
2.8" RR 6-Rib Pulley
DIY AA Intercooler
42lb Injectors
SCT 2400 90MM MAF
SCT Chip
Cobra Tank/Pumps
KB 40 Amp BAP

I was breaking up a little on top and made 515. My tuner said if I fixed that he expected 530-540. I fixed it, and it did feel smoother/stronger. You can do it with a stock shortblock but I wouldn't

Most of the ones I'm seeing with cams are putting down well over 500RWHP. Into the 540-560 range in a lot of cases, so it's not inconceivable to think that you'd come in right around 490-500hp without them. I admit, you'll be pushing the S-Trim past its efficiency range, but from what I've seen as long as you're keeping the ACT's under control, it isn't unfathomable.

It would be easier to do with a T-Trim or a Novi 2000 though, I admit. But, you try to work with what you've got.

My way was simple too. Twin T-16 turbos, VT stg 1 N/A Cams, O/R X pipe with magnaflows, plenum/TB, and 11.9PSI. (And ofcourse other supporting mods listed)
That netted me 550RWHP on a STOCK 04 GT shortblock. (+ windage trey)

Easy as pie

Dang I wish I could have pushed her further...I was going to be saying hello to 600 before not too long

I to am in the process of building a 2v. what i have so far is not much. i just bought a mmr 800 with all the upgrades other than the aluminum or 302 upgrade. i have a vortech v2 sq blower. i have a lightning 90mm maf and 42# injectors. i was planning on getting stage 2 patriot heads with some blower cams...maybe comp cams. i was wanting to make 500-550 hp on the motor not to the wheels. i dont know what that comes out to be at the wheels im running an auto. will the MAF and 42# injectors reach this mark. if not what kind of power should i look for on this setup. i want to make as much as i can with these items until i can afford to upgrade. im also using a focus svt pump. i dont want to push it to the limit as i am rebuilding due to a blown motor after the SC install. so like i said i want to make as much as i can for now and ill upgrade the fuel system and MAF later. what else will i need. like what size pulley. im planning on a diy AA intercooler as well. specific name brands and part numbers would be great when referencing parts such as torque converters and flywheels. ANY help at all would be great as i am an ammature mechanic and doing most all the work myself.
