Don't underestimate the potential of the NPI. Ported NPI heads and stage 2 Crower blower cams with S-trim and methanol, 18* timing on 15psi, I made 515/475.

I did that with stock heads pi heads, V1 S-trim, HP S292 cams, cheap ebay intercooler, 16*, 13 psi, 515/453 lol. J/k it's only dyno numbers lol.

I added ported heads and 16.5 psi and made 598 at one shop and 572 at another.

Yea, the PI's will make more power, especially with some good cams like the HP's. Just wanted to show him that 500rwhp isn't unobtainable with his NPI's.
This was at 9:0.1 C/R. Actually when we were tuning, I didn't expect to see 500rwhp, it was more of a test to see where the NPI's could go.

You have the T trim on it now right?

Edit, yes I see you do have it. Great combinations make great power, good job!

question guys besides the cobra duel pumps and boost-a-pump and 42lb injectors what other mods to the fuel system did you have to do to get to 515-598 range

i am trying to keep the cost down a little rigth now ....

i will upgrade the fuel line to -8npt and i was thinking fpdm only if i need it or 60lb injectors

None, the Cobra tank with dual Cobra pumps and a BAP with FPDM upgrade and 60's is good for that amount of power. I personally don't like using 42's with anything we plan on running 500rwhp or more.

ok guys i know this is a long azz post but i am still working on it

was going to pay jpc to install and tune everything but looks like they are very very busy. call them in july and its sept and they still can not give me a date to drop off the car..so i got up off the couch and decided to get under the hood.

heres a few pictures

i removed the ebay intercooler and installed the paxton (mounted it anyways)

also my kit did not come with the 2 metal bracers need to connect the upper part of the intercooler so i will have to go to home depo and see of i can fine some brackets or i will just rig something up

i used pulley puller and the fcking crank pulley broke on me..now i have to find a way to get the remaining part off the crank without doing damage to the crankshaft

also i got oil in my intake the air filter is full of oil and dirt...i will install some kind of oil bypass its more then likely coming from one of the hoses that connects to the intake and not the charger..

ok looks like the 108" belt fits the car... got it from ups today
i ran the pipping best i could i will take a few pictures after work and post them let me know what you guys think..

i also need to get a large hose for the vortech mini-racer bpv

also waiting on the pro-m maf meter
but she starts up fine i need to change the oil a few times i think all that drilling to get that dam broken crankpulley off i got metal in my oil and i think my oil filter is clogged in the car the oil gauge is reading 0

so i will replace the oil filter ,change the oil and see if that helps

also i have no idea whats up with jpc called them in july for a tune and now its almost oct and no one is calling me i call them 3 differnt times

so i may need to fine another tuner in maryland area

so what i did was install paxton fmic, 10% overdrive crankpulley, and 2.95 blower pulley
i also have 60lb injectors and like i said the pro-m meter is in the mail

One big difference between a stock block with a blower compared to a built motor. The guy with the stock block reached his plateau at around 420hp and the motor will eventually go to crap especially when you beat on it. Now a built motor will withstand that power and get beat to **** and stay together. Plus the money is spent because not only is it safe to run that power hard, you have the option to turn up the boost without seeing your limits. Yeah you can buy a cobra motor but guess what, that motor will be on borrowed time once you start hitting the 550 range. You pay to play. Some people choose to just throw a blower on the stock block but IMO you are just counting the day until the motor says bye bye.

ok sorry got off work late anyway here are a few pictures

i am still using the stock bpv atm but i also installed the mini-race no vacuum line to it so it stays closed

the car is going to need a tune i gave it some gas just to see how it sounds i am getting a fluttering sound comming from the stock bpv sounds sweet but i think that just means i need to us the larger bpv ..

i am not to happy with the 3 x 90 deg bens i have in the pipping but it will have to do for now i did not want to open that hole were the intake is going rigth now so i will wait till i install the pro-m meter and get a tune to see how the boost looks i may just redo the tb to intercooler pipping less 90deg beens the better..

i am going to try and give jpc another call but i will start looking for another tuner just encase.....

also i let the car idle for a time and i am not getting any oil leaks near the crank pulley so thats a good thing...

after work i will take the car to get an oil change i know that oil filter is clog with metal from me drilling

ok got the car back from jpc performance those guys do good work
the car put down 528rwhp/480 rwtq @6200rpms and thats at 16psi from the little sq-trim so not to bad and i finnally hit my mark of 500 to the rear wheel

i will put up some pictures of the dyno sheet and the engine bay..

also i did a little test run and i got to say the car is scarry at wot over 5k the car jumps from 10psi to 16psi between 5k and 6.2k the car pulls very hard

going from the stock crank and 3.6 blower pulley to 10% od pulley and 2.9 blower pulley netted me 82rwhp not bad

o ya and i am still using the 6-rib setup the car was still pulling when they shut her down so 6500 or 7000rmps would have produced more hp but a slipping belt may start to rear its ugle head

hehe and ok new tread for next year maybe how to go from 500-700hp or something

Not bad for your setup congrats. At 16psi I made 598.5 with a V1 s-trim, patriot stage 2 heads, stock intake, HP s292 (Only 531 lift), and a MMR 900 sb.

well i strongly disagree with "the cobra motor on borrowed time" theory after 550hp, got a jobsite superintendint in durham NC, his 04 mystic chrome cobra has had a 3.4 whipple makes 896 at the wheels and has been that way since whipple first offered it to the public, and its a trac whore. friend of mine here in denver, NC has 2.1kb on his 03 anniversary convert. and make 673 at the wheels and has been that way for 2yrs, and is a dd

Kenne Bell never offered a 2.1L kit for the '03-'04 Cobra's. I would have to have been an old 2.2L/2.4L/2.6L, or current 2.6L/2.8L.

But I agree. 550rwhp is nowhere near the ceiling for an '03-'04 Cobra. They'll live many, many miles at that power leve.

I built my buddys car for him. He wanted 500rwhp. Ported stock heads, cms stage 2 blower cams, trickflow intake and a D1-sc at 10lbs made 535rwhp. Would have been closer to 600rwhp but he only had the money for 1 gt40 pump so he ran out of fuel.

i am thinking if i go with a better intake maybe p-51 or bullit intake maybe i can squeez alittle more hp out of it

and what was your redline set to mine is 6200rpm

6400rpm when I was at 515 stock heads hp 292 cams 6 rib 2.8" pulley around 12 psi..

6600rpm when I was 598-572 (depending on which of the 2 dynos I was on) patriot heads, stock intake, hp s292 cams, 18% over drive crank pulley, 3" SC pulley, S-trim

6800rpm but ran it to 7k when I was 665(on the dyno I previously made 572 on), Patriot heads, TFS intake, HP s292 cams(would like the HP R292 with 550lift instead of 531 one now),18% ovdr cr pulley, 3" sc pulley.
