Ok big question here. Thinkin about doin a head swap on my car, I have a set of heads that have a Stage 1.5 port job on them. Now what kind of cams woud I need??? Next question, could I put , with a good tune know, a 75 shot of NOS on my car? If so what kit would be the best? My car 02 Saleen SC 281, has the following mods....
Serias II Blower w/ Intercooler
BBK Long Tube Headers
BBK Off Road X Pipe
Bassnai Cat Back Exhaust
Accufab 75 MM Throttle Body
Lighting 90 MM MAF
42 lb Injectors
3:73 Gears
Cold Air Intake (Inside Fenderwell)
Aluminum Drive Shaft
Adjustable Clutch and Quadrent
SPEC 3 Clutch
10 lb Blower Pulley
MM Caster Camber Plates
MM Upper and Lower Control Arms

Ok I guess thats about it, that should help, um on a Mustang Dyno ( not a Dyno Jet) I put down 284 RWHP and 327 lbs of Torque, numbers from a not engine too. Now are thease good numbers? Another thing too the best time I have gotten at the track granted Im not the best driver or was it the best track. But I got ( on Nitto DR 15in Rims) a 12.9 at 106. I pulled like a 1.9 60 foot. Are thease good numbers or should I see more HP and lower times. Any feed back would be appreciated. Also any help in the mod questions I asked too. Oh yeah um can my blower work effectivly with ported heads or not, I mean will it still spool up ok, Im not gonna lose any boost am I? Well thanks for your time!!! Jake

I ran our car on a Dynojet, which resulted in 304 RWHP and 369 RWTQ with a stock Series I and a CAI.

I do not know how the numbers compare between a Dynojet and Mustang dyno but I believe there is a difference.

With all the mods on you car, how did you go about tuning the motor?

Ok let me clarify something, a Mustang Dyno puts down alot lower numbers. When I did my first tune, which was on a Dyno Jet, I put down 359 RWHP and 387 lb of torgue, of course the morons gave me an awsome A/F of 13 to 1, verses my now 11.9 to 1. However r thease numbers still to low with my mods???? Thanks Jake

Dude, there is something wrong if you are only making 284/327 with the mods you have... My 99 s/c with just a blower pulley and fuel pump made 315/415.
Either you typed the numbers wrong or you have bigger issues than a head swap.

Another qiuck note, the same day i got mine tuned there was a new GTO on the dyno, and you know the factory HP is supposed to be around 340 to 360 HP crankwise and prolly around 300 rwhp roughly, well my point is that on the cars first run it only put out 214 to the rear tires. So you do lose alot on a mustang dyno, because of the load youre able to put on the dyno so it makes it a safer tune. I dont know all the details, but check out ccstuning.com for further details. Again Im not tryin to insult anyones intellegence, just tryin to find out some info. Thanks guys!!!! Jake

Your times are about right for 280rwhp and your trap speed. Mustang dyno's are only maybe 10-15hp difference. I would get that car looked at and tuned!!! Look at my sig and my numbers and my car is N/A and still running stock manifolds, stock cams and heads. You should be putting down very good numbers!!

Are you runin on stock tires, ad as far as the numbers go look at ol boys GTO so its gotta be less then 15 to 20. You know they say its all in the tune, I dont know its so freakin frustrating, Ive gotten it tuned twice already, sheesh can some one please help me out here!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I'm thinking there is something wrong with that Dyno if every car is making
lower numbers. In any event, at least it's consistant so it doesn't point to
a problem with your car...

The heads will help, but probably only up to a certain point. When you remove
one bottleneck, you will likely find another, and I'm guessing the next one will
be the blower itself - does the 02 still use the Eaton M-90? Once they pass
a certain point, all they make it heat.
