I'm gonna be picking up a set of Nitto drag radials, size 245/45/17 for my 93 cobra wheels. Post your 60 ft. times on Nitto's, especially all of you with 17inch wheels! From a roll, my car is lethal, but I can't hook worth a damn, and I need new rear rubber anyways, so why not? Thanks!

I'm interested any drag radial 60 times too. Our best 60 footer has been 2.051 but our average is about 2.4. We're running 245/45/17 Firestone Firehawks on 9 inch cobra rims. Best 1/4 to date 13.54 @105mph, last summer at Budds Creek MD.

Car is an 86 GT with the usual mods. Stock rear control arms, tight Eibach springs, and koni red shocks. The guy we bought it from built it up for auto cross, weight transfer is almost non-existant.

Punkrockracer...what mods you got done?

I need drag radials pretty soon...because I'm going my FTI combo in 2 1/2 weeks...so I'll bump it...

I've taken my 2.4, on street tires, down to a 1.8 with used BFG drag radials on completely stock suspension. I'm sure I can get a 1.7 with some more seat time.

I average low 1.8's with the occasional dip into the 1.7's. Mods in sig, stock suspension.

Best I can manage with a set of street tires is 2.2, which I can do solidly all day.....that's WITH trans slip though.

I want some drag radials too....I *did* read a review of them, and read that the BFG's are more "user friendly". It said the Nittos provide a good hook, BUT you really have to have some skill to launch them. If you don't, your 60' won't be any better than on street tires. I'm not the type to have finesse.
