I just had the pony seats reupholstered for my 65 Mustang. Is there an easy way to assemble the top & bottom seats? I can't spread the upper supports enough to engage the pins on the bottom of the seat. I was able to get the driver's side together without much problem, but the passenger seat has been harder. Anyone with some help please?

hook the short bar on the seat back first its more ridgid than the long side
i have a smooth plastic coated bar i use to spread it over the pin on the oposite side

Thanks for the reply. My son came over, & we finally got it wrestled together. I don't recall ever having that much trouble before...

the real problem is getting your finger between it when you try to spread it over the pin. ouuuuch
