Well I got my hands on a freshly rebuilt (under 300 miles) 70's mexican shortblock (supposed to be one of the best?) with forged pistons and all the goodies for around $800. Which was kinda neat...But my question is--this motor is going in my 88 GT and will be FI, will I have any problems with any of the accessories bolting to the right places on the motor or anything? Also should I use 24# injectors or stock? I already have everything to set up for 24# except for the injectors themselves--but I don't want to spend the money if it won't make a real performance gain. What's in the motor: 70's mexican block w/ forged pistons (9.5 CR), milled and ported e7 heads w/ stock valve sizes, ported GT-40 upper and lower (port matched to heads), 1.7RR's, about a .512 lift cam, 70mm TB, 73mm MAF. I think 19lb injectors should be ok... but i'd like some other opinions.....Thanks in advance!

Get the 24s so you don't have to turn right around and buy them again for your next mod. This gonna be mass air or SD?

Edit: Ah hell... just saw in your post where you said MAss Air. In that case you may even want to consider getting some 30's. That will depend largely on what future plans you have for that motor. Do you have forced induction anywhere in your near future?

I say 24 pounders minimum. If you start really tapping in the upper rpm's then with a huge lift and all that air intake going on, the oxygen may start asking where all the fuel is at....

I would throw the 24# injectors in. With what you are doing, you should do it right the first time or not at all. That is a nice setup too, I wish I could get a setup like that. I don't see any problem with bolting the stuff together, cuz if they are the e7 heads than that is what most of your accessories bolt to right? If not you can get the fox body conversion kit from ford, maybe that will fix it. But that is really sweet and good luck.
