doing a 95 gt sn swap on my 79 coupe and was wondering a good wheel and tire size combo that would work good with some modifications to inner/outer wheel wells without swapping in fox axles. dont need anything ridiculously wide!

Any of the SN95 17x8 wheels will work

it would be tricky to do in the rear if you plan on running the Sn95 width axles. It's more doable with fox-length. Up front will be tight, but it's been done frequently

Depends on wheel backspace (or offset).

I will be running Saleen replicas (18x9) with Fox length axles and 24mm offset (I have seen many pic of others running this size and it looks right). To do the same (17x9 or 18x9) with axles from a '95 would mean you need 3/4" more offset (or 19mm), so you would need a 40-44mm offset wheel.

Another way of looking at my next set up is to calculate from my current setup.

16x8 with an 8mm offset. By going to 9" wide rim if offset didn't change the rim lip would move outward 1/2" (13mm). Since the 18x9's have a 24mm offset, my rim outer edge will actually move inward 3mm (just under 1/8"). So my new setup should put the outer edge of the rim almost exactly where it currently is today. Current axle is stock Fox 4 lug, new axle is Fox length 5 lug.

I just installed 18x10s on 94 rear axles. The trick is getting the backspacing right. I used wheels with the S197 backspacing
