Amen to that, I'd '85-86 swap the nose, throw the '04 Mach 1 K-member I have laying around under it, and have that sucker Coyote or 4v and stickshift swapped in no time. A set of '87+ LX tails, a brake/wheel/tire upgrade, and an 8.8 swap would finish it off nicely. In the pics it looks like it's some touch-up work away from being 20-footer/daily driver quality on paint too, so no worries there. Yeah, I'd rock that one.
I'd go a different route: look for an 82 GT nose OR an 84-1/2 GT nose if I couldn't source an 82, swap my vert's k-member and drivetrain into it and go from there. If I wasn't so deep into everything I'm into now I'd seriously consider doing that.
I'm going a slightly different route
I've got an 89 GT that I'm sitting on. 4-eye swap, hard-top, Solid LIfter (noisy fuk) cruiser. Probably an auto of some kind.

The 90 was taken apart when we got it...but lot's of parts and complete parts car, everything you need.
No seats for the 90, but the 88 has a nice interior, front and rear seats-gray tweed, same color as the 90. Have glass for the 90, Door panels, console, most interior parts.
Comes with tubs of parts to put the car back together.
The 88 car has been sitting...don't know if it runs..The 90 is stripped, but every thing is there between the two cars.
Have 2 5.0 engines, one from a truck, one original to the 90..the engines are intact. We know nothing about them. We have a lot of projects and just don't have the time for these.

If I had the money (I'd haggle on the one that's stock but needs work), either one would be welcome to take ElSuperPinto's place. They're the ONLY aero-nose fox on my radar, and unlike an '85-86 car, I'd probably bolt on a cat-back and call it a day on one of those.
