80mm Lightning Maf vs. stock
Hey,

Here is my question. I had the C&L maf and I hated it. The pro-m wasn't any amazing either. Just wondering if the lightning maf is an improvement? Second off, I'm either doing P&P head with cams or a supercharger over the summer, so I'll probably do a tune. I have a 99GT. My question is, do they make an 80 and 90mm Lightning maf, and which is better for a tune? And second off, would head work require a different maf than a supercharger maf?
And will 10mm affect the way my densecharger tube fits?
And lastly, I'm planning on getting a TB, so should I go with a 75 or 70mm?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Jason

for the supercharger, getting the 90mm MAF will probably help you, but you are getting dyno tuned anyways so that will take care of your A/F Ratios. I'd for sure go with a 75mm TB though.

I think your wanting a little to much from your MAF's. Its not like your going to bolt one on and feel massive amt's of power. It just opens the airflow up more and it may give you a couple horsepower but you have to have the right parts along w/ the MAF to really get the full potenial out of it. If your getting your car tuned you dont need to worry about the s/c thing unless you need to drive it to the dyno you'll have to tell them to cal it for s/c and then the tuner will hook it up for your a/f and everything. You should get a powerpipe instead of a densecharger unless your refering to the powerpipe as a densecharger. Im a cobra guy so i cant say which t/b to go with there.
