82 Gt 5.0 headers

I just picked this car up. The question is what headers can I get with this car. It has the smog pump and heads. I plan on unhooking all of this stuff as I live in Washington State and they dont test for emissions where I live. I plan on putting an edelbrock performer package on it. Keeping the stock heads for know. It will be 4 barrel of coarse. I was told I could just yank all of this EGR stuff off. Cause I dont want it. Just trying to get a little more out of it for the 1/8th mile track we have here in good old Fork U. Oh yeah I dont want to run shorties. I want full headers.

MAC make a decent pair for a budget....they have some downfalls like eventual rust and they can warp if you take them off, which makes putting them back on a pain in the ass, but other than that they'll perform well. BBK also make a similar pair but with a solid flange at the headers which prevent the warpage. You can just about check any company that makes headers these days and they'll have 5.0 specific headers.

You'll have to convert to a 86=later dual exhaust setup and dual hump crossmember however.
