84 svo brake caliper ?

are brake calipers for an 84 svo a bolt on improvement for my 84 5.0 lx?

I don't think you can just "bolt up" the SVO calipers on those 84 rotors. The rotors on that '84 are 10" diameter and the SVO had bigger rotors, not sure what size as well as being 5 lug. On the corral there's a tech article about swappin out the junk 10" rotors for 87-93 11" rotors and I believe he used 73mm calipers and Mark series master cylinder. You should post this in the SVO forums to get the specs on the SVO rotors and calipers and see what happens. Good luck.

You'll need 87-93 5.0 spindles to upgrade to 11" rotors. I believe the SVO used the same rotor as the Mark VII. They also used the same calipers.
