Build Thread 84ttop: I Suck At Updating This Thread...

Damn.. and to think I moved out of Jersey 35 years ago.. lol.. I would have stuck around if I new everyone was going to hang at Nick's. Graduated Lincoln Tech and turned wrenches at Union Ford before I got smart and moved to the home of the newlywed and nearly dead.

I went to New Jersey once.

It was cold.

In July.

what exit? lol ( you need to be from Jersey to get that joke)

Yeah I guess I don't. It was an interesting trip though. Stayed in Newark. Visited the Big City. Saw ground zero when it was a big hole. Went to the top of the empire state. Went to Harold's deli in Jersey(That was cool)... Also went to a couple little pizza joints that made oven fired pizza. They don't have that in Texas.

Ah Newark, the armpit of America.

My father in law was up there on a job before he retired. Construction building refinery tanks. We flew up and he showed us around. He was up there about three years. I never did see Tony Soprano...

Newark is where they had huge race riots in the 60's. Almost burned the city down.

I grew up in Elizabeth and Union. Tough blue collar towns. Funny, most of my friends growing up were from "families" and we'd laugh when we found guns in coffee cans in the garage or bags of cash stuffed in closet walls. Half of my old friends are in Rahway State or tits up. The other half are in "construction", the "garbage" or the restaurant business, If you want to see where a lot of them live, head to Mountainside, Livingston, Summit.

Hood looks great :)
After all the giant wheelies how is the back bumper holding up?
lol
Back bumper has rubber all over it and is scrapped up. That adds character though lol

I think the age of cowl hoods is coming to an end (for the most part)
As impractical as it is, there's something badass about an intake sticking through the hood.

Being able to see is cool too I guess
I agree, I never liked huge cowl hoods. The old cowl that was on here I still have and was only 2.5". It looks great but I don't have the heart to cut it up :)
