I'm on New River also and live there also in SNCO housing Can't miss the Blue Mustang. I took my car to Marline's Garage on Blue Creek School Road.

With his help we found that the TPS was bad as soon as I get another one we'll see how it runs. Also he is going to help set it up to Mass Air. This site is a great help.

Surge is gone

Good news the surge is gone....but it was not just the TPS. The timing was advanced way to far. Call me stupid but don't you think a shop would at least set the timing right?!? Well maybe a good shop would at least...and this shop was not good. After fixing the TPS I started it up and still had the surge and sputter but not as bad. Then I thought maybe the timing could be off causing the sputter so I set the timing and she runs sweet, no surge, no sputtering, just a nice loud purr..
