Okay i got this 88 turbo coupe that i bought that will not run. I put a new timing belt, plugs, wires, and maf. It will run now but it runs extremley rich and will pop and bang thru the exhaust if you try to give it too much throttle(like no more than a 1/4 throttle) . I have checked fuel pressure good at 35 psi, set timing at 10 advance. I have triple checked that i put the timing belt on properly also. What is interesting is that it will not start on its own unless you spray starter fluid in it. once it starts and runs and comes up to temp you can shut it off and restart it right after and it will start with out starter fluid easily it just sits there and idles okay but faint black smoke is coming out the exhaust. Also if i unplug the maf,map or tps one at a time nothing changes it just acts the same while its running which I cant figure out why
. It will however idle weird if you unplug the IAC so it must be working. I am out of ideas and its really getting to the point i am about to part this thing out. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Jesse
