On the plates on the strut tower there are some numbers with holes and one of them is plugged with a lead looking rivet. What is the purpose of these? I'm trying to put in a tower brace and it says some trimming is required but I wanted to know what they are before I start cutting away at them because the brace lands right on top.

Also on the passenger side the mount for the maf and sensor is in the way, can I just remove that all together and let the maf just hang inline with the intake?

I'm assuming they are for alignment purposes. I don't know if mine have the numbers. Ill have to look.

Both sides have the rivet in the number 4 spot and it looks like the rest of the holes dont go thru the tower completely, just holes in the plate. Ive had the car aligned before and it doesnt seem like these have been touched ever.

The rivets hold the factory Camber setting. To adjust they need to be drilled out. Looks like yours has never been touched

You can let the MAF hang as well. Mine is not attached.

Thanks for the confirmation guys. I'm going to wait until I get my hands on some maximum motorsports camber plates rather than cutting away and doing an ugly hack job.
