9 inch Currie Rear End

Hello, Im new here and was hoping you guys could help me out with a question. I have a 66' mustang and bought a 9 inch Currie housing from Craigslist brand new. It measures 52" which is 1/4" smaller then a stock housing. Does this 1/4" difference matter?

It will work just fine. Did you also buy currie axles? I have a one in my 65 Gt with currie axles, very nice stuff.
