im currently running a Saleen Series 2 supercharger on my 2000 GT it has a saleen intercooler, 30# motorcraft fuel injectors, motorcraft fuel rails, high flow water pump, upgraded fuel map, all on a stock bottom end...would it be safe to run 9 or 10 PSI right now i am only running 6??

yes it is safe to run that. Don't go over 10 though unless you need an excuse to upgrade the internals.
There's an article in MM&FF from a couple of months ago where some guy is running 15 psi on stock internals, however his car is for race only and he has to fix parts fairly often.

I don't think the intercooler from Saleen is efficient enough to prevent detonation at that PSI. You might end up blowing your motor from detonation.

Yes the motor can handle 9 or more psi but detonation will be your enemy, not the psi. At 9 psi, my intake temp is around 145 degrees so there is much less chance of detonation. That is much lower than my 6 psi Saleen unit at full boost.

Yeah, it depends on which blower you have...
The saleen series II generates lots of heat, so it might be risky at 9psi, and not really worth it considering the moderate HP gains...

KB swap with upgraded heat exchanger would be the way to go for more boost , you should get about 30 HP out of long tubes , might wanna look into that and maybe see if someone makes a slightly larger pulley , like maybe a 7 psi for it . wouldnt do 9 for sure though , too much heat = BOOM

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Series II is a roots type blower and the Series IV is a twin screw. Is there a way to test the effectiveness of your intercooler, since the roots type tends to generate more heat?

With either units, an Intake temp gauge is a must. Anytime you boost supercharger/turbo charger you will create heat and you should monitor that heat closely.

Grab the "Boost Cooler" they are talking about in the talk forum (edit: actually it is right here in Tech). Pretty cheap and it should make things MUCH cooler/safer.

BTW, it is basically just water injection
