i bought i 1988 ford mustang off my friend and it had some pretty good front end damage. i drilled out the spot welds on the front end radiator core support and had to remove the inner fender support, where the battery tray goes. today i ordered the radiator core support and inner fender but the said that that they discontinued the radiator support reinforcement panels that have to be attached to the 86-90 radiator support.he said i could just get a radiator support from a 90-93 and it would pretty much be the same thing its just that the have the pieces arleady attached. he said there would need to be minor changes or what not but wasn't to sure as to what they were. does anybody know what those changes would be i was thinking it would be just the fiberglass piece that is riveted to the front bumper. any input is appreciated thanks

Your wrong about the years...It's '91-'93... the '91-'93 core support, fenders ect may not be that well of a fit on the '88. The difference is in '91 ford started using the 16 inch pony wheels as an option so they had to revise the fenders and the sides of the inner structure( where the shocks mount, the engine bay). Also you cant swap between front fender gound effects (GT) or fiberglass covers (LX). I had your same problem when I totaled my '91 the A$$Hole at the junk yard said they were all the same, Boy was he worng and I was out a **** load of money :nice:
