91 2.3 convertible aftermarket installation power but no sound

The more square connector connects to the harness that goes to speakers (that used to go to the stock amplifier)

Go to a stereo install shop with the radio your going to install and they should have a kit to wire it up to your year harnesses

This is your radio adapters. One is for power, ground , memory , dimmer, ect, the other is for the speakers. Wire your radio into it ( match the colors) . Then plug it in

connected the top pic harness to (aftermarket hu) to theose the conectors u mentioned then i connected yhe m to the second pic nosound

In the car there will be only one place the connector for the power wires will go, but there will be 2 for the speakers. You want the one that is before where the amp was.

That’s all there is... or you can completely eliminate the adapting harness by looking at a diagram or using a test light.

Ok step one ::::is connecting this buliding adapter harness ess and radio harness. Correct? (Pic 1)

Step 2::::is connecting power adapter. To power connector(pic 2)do i leave harness dis connected like this and connect here or reconnect and go for the power where the radio back was on harness (which is cut for some reason)pic 3

Step :::::3 is connectin to speaker adapter harness but this speaker harness is cut too as well.... do i connect some how here ? Pic4 long wires. These were plugged into the amp or do i connect to where rafio was black connector?(pic2)

Ok. So it’s possible the speakers are no longer wired to the factory harness, so this is based on a factory set up.


Step one!! Connect these wires based on the colors!!

ok thank you i will try again when i get home .moral of the story is factory amp harness is not used . i also tried this way i had no sound but u might be correct about the speakers not being connected
