91 2.3 needs help

i have a 91 lx 2.3 red conv stang. I'm looking for a cheap easy way to add some speed to it. Any thoughts besides a 5.0 lol?

If you haven't maintained it well over the past couple years, fresh plugs, wires, pcv valve, fuel filter (these items always help). Make a home-made cold air kit (use search), K&N filter and then open up the crappy exhaust with a Ranger header, 40-series Flowmaster muffler and let her rip. You still won't be too quick but you'll have more fun!
