I have a 91 lx 4cyl and I also have a 87 cougar 5.0.I am swapping the 5.0 into the lx,but first I would like to get some suggestions on the cougar 5.0.Some people tell me that the 5.0 is a roller but some say that it isnt.that is the first thing I would like to know.I am going carbed for the simplicity and it is cheaper,so far i have an e303 cam(that i will use if it is a roller)an edelbrock perf rpm manifold,holley 600,aod trans(from the cougar)and a 3.73 rear end.I am going to stay with the stock heads for now,if the are at least descent.this is my first ford build and i'm not sure how fords react to different mods,and that is why I am asking for any advice.btw this car is going to be a 99% street car.so I will gladly accept any info on what mods to do and/or info on the cougar engine.thanks
