New to sight. bought a 92 mustang lx gt. Has a bored 351w with stock heads that have been port and polished. holley 650 duel feed carb. bbk stainless steel headers. msd ignition. 410 rear end with traction lock. t5 gear box. dual exhaust. edelbrock x cam and intake. It is pretty quick but never took it to a track so i have no numbers. Any idea on horsepower? Just wondering I really like driving it and it is just about all i can handle. I cannot imagine what 500 to 700 hp would feel like. I am slowly putting some money in it. I just had sub frame connectors welded in and boy it really stiffened it up and feels much nicer and more quiet. I just put on used tires 50 seried all around for under 70 bucks. Went to the good year dealer and took a peek in the junk bin and found decent rubber for free. just pay to have installed. wow what some people will get rid of. thanks guys

More than likely the tires are old. Even if they look good, the rubber has deteriorated to the point that they are dangerous to drive on.

Look for a stamp on the tire that says DOT on it. It will have numbers after that. They will tell you the date the tire was made on. Anything older than 6 years should be thrown away and not used. They could be very dangerous.

I've gotten rid of tires that look good but were 7-8 years old. i wouldn't trust my life to them.

mid to high 300's for torque and hp. Should be a solid 12 second as well.
