93 L/T headers fit our cars

yes sir. they are the same exact except for the egr bung (haha...god i love that word). i took my stock headers and had a shop cut off the bung and weld it onto the mac LT's i got for super cheap. boom, made myself some 94-95 LT's for under $50 :)

I've heard of it being done..but heard it was a pain. HazMat did the install req any shimming or relocating.
It's hard to find 1 3/4 LT's for our cars at a good price, but the fox cars they are all over. You have me thinking now...since I don't run a EGR anyways!

Let me know

Chris

i really had no problems at all. i think the worst part of the install was making the stock dipstick to work lol...just used a rubber mallet, loosened up the engine mounts (could shift it a lil then). the driver went up from the bottom after i took off the bar the blocks it..went right up. the passenger side needed a handful of whacks from the mallet to get her in there. had to jack up one side of the motor an inch or two for more clearance. oh yeah, i have all my egr stuff too so this is in an engine that would be very similar to a stock engine. i have the 1 5/8" lt's so i dunno how much harder it would be with 1 3/4 but there is room in there still....just dont wanna ever take them out :) .

summary, got lt's for cheap, had shop weld on a bung from stock headers, spent about 7 hours putting them in with about 148 swears between my pops and i and they are good to go. never had a problem with them. was kinda scared cause they were used mac's but they turned up fine :)

yeah, i found a deal for the mac lt's and an o/r hpipe for $50. i was so happy and my dad was like "uhhh, long tubes are long arent they? *pause* they arent gonna be easy are they??" hahaha, wasnt too tough but god does it sound good. im gonna get a video of my exhaust cause ive had a ton of people asking about in person and online :) ....it sounds fast at least

well i really couldnt tell cause i refreshened my engine after being down for about a month from bending and breaking a valve and was tapping my piston. so after not driving my car for a month and swapping in a t-5 for my slipping out then having a nasty exhaust leak for at least a week, i opted for the lt's. lets say my car felt better than it ever has and it still needs lotsa tuning but for the sound alone id do it. id hate to say its more peppy or anything like that cause so much was done at once. maybe someone who just did lt's only could say what kinda feel they got outta it
