93 project pics

Thought I'd share some pics of what I have to work with. I've started the body/exterior stuff so you'll notice some stuff already missing like mirrors and belt moulding. Overall the body is very straight, save for a few minor dents and dings. I'll repaint and replace some trim items. Interior is very good, just need to reglue the headliner and clean the front buckets. I'll share my plans for the car when I figure that out.

I plan on repainting it this spring. You can see the clearcoat peeling on the roof. I'm going to try the dry ice method on some hail damaged spots. Other than poor paint, the body is great, no rust whatsoever.

The headliner is falling in the back, I think just regluing it will do the trick.

The wheels are in good shape, after some serious elbow grease.

You can see how dull the door is compared to the body. My dog is very interested in this project as well.


I'll post more pics as this project comes along. I'll be replacing all kinds of weatherstripping, the door belt moulding, tires, adding a radio (Pioneer DEH3000IB), and getting the interior back to mint. It runs and drives great so I'm not touching the engine/drivetrain yet, it has 114k miles so I'll just maintain it and then think about a turbo swap or perhaps a mild carbed 302 in a couple of years. I have to replace the front brakes, already got new rotors and pads so I'll do that when the weather gets better. We're experiencing a premature winter here in East TN so it kind of sucks right now. I put new brakes on my sister's Accord yesterday, the high was 38, normal is 58.
